I am at your disposal to understand your requests and to help you clarify them. Together we translate it into a clear objective to be achieved.

The environment of our sessions is fundamental. The space, the light, the atmosphere of the place has an impact on the feelings and our ability to let go.

I will meet you during the first session in my office, an intimate place to explore things. We can then, during other sessions, choose to explore other places, for example the parks, and gardens of Barcelona. Nature connects us very easily to ourselves, to our feelings, to our resources and to our limits. Nature itself becomes the facilitating tool for expressing yourself beyond words.

My techniques are varied and adapted to your desires: use the nature around us to externalize our blockages and draw re-motivation, photo language, drawing, writing techniques, metaphors, “paper path”, and role plays…

They come from Neuro-linguistic Programming, Transactional Analysis, Non-Violent Communication, Brief Therapies, Sophrology, Creative Journaling, Clean Language, Vittoz Method and finally from my own creativity.

However, the most important thing is the relationship we will create, and the trust that will result from it.

My approach comes from short therapies with short, positive and future-oriented accompaniments. I provide you with my tools, to make you autonomous and use techniques from the humanist current of psychology: Neuro-linguistic Programming, Non Violent Communication, Transactional Analysis, Clean Language, Sophrology and Art Therapy.

Pour ma part j’ai eu Arièle comme psychologue lorsque qu’elle vivait en France et en plus d’etre Psychologue elle est aussi très humaine . Je venais de quitter mon conjoint suite à des violences conjugales et harcèlement moral et Arièle m’a appris à ne plus laisser la culpabilité m’envahir en me demandant d’écrire une lettre à ma culpabilité et lui faite part de mes souffrances, à l’inverse je devait prendre le rôle de la culpabilité et répondre cette fois de là mains gauche et en toute honnêteté l’exercice a été fort bénéfique . Une autre expérience ou cette fois ci je n’arrrivai plus à dormir du à des cauchemars horribles sur mon ex compagnon ,. More and more managers or senior executives of companies in Barcelona are using my services as an English psychologist to work with them or within a group. Creativity, in my opinion, is a means of expression that goes far beyond imagination. Many emotions and moods go through writing, collage, painting and drawing. Work on body expression and the staging of situations are also widely used tools because they allow people to discover themselves and better manage their feelings and emotions. NLP and skills assessment are also effective tools to solve certain problems.

Each technique is adapted to the individual and is refined with time and experience.

Communication between individuals is sometimes difficult, if not impossible. Incompatibility of character, shyness, parental model, trauma, self-deprecation, are all reasons that sometimes block us in our way of communicating.

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)

The principle of NLP is based on programming, i.e. acquired reflexes, whether cognitive, emotional or behavioural, on what controls them and the language that is one of the bases of our communication and thoughts.

Neuro-linguistic programming makes it possible to improve exchanges with others but also to progress personally and gain confidence.

I use the NLP technique in psychotherapy to increase physical and psychological capacities in order to overcome fears, excel in a field to give yourself all the means to succeed in your project.

NLP psychotherapy is an excellent tool for discovering the structure of behaviour, modelling it, integrating it or, on the contrary, getting rid of it.

I practice NLP in companies and in my office in Barcelona.

Transactional analysis (TA)

Another form of therapy that I offer in my interventions as a psychologist is Transactional Analysis.

This method consists of analysing the life scenarios we created in our childhood and reassessing them to make the changes necessary for our development.

Our personality is built according to 3 criteria: the child, the parent and the adult. As we study these 3 passages, we realize that our behaviours are often influenced by the education we received from our parents, our actions when we were children and the present moment we have to manage as an adult.

A transaction takes place during an exchange with one or more other persons. Working on transactional analysis helps to avoid some uncomfortable and recurrent exchanges.

As an English speaking psychologist in Barcelona specialising in behavioural therapies, I work at the firm or in companies to improve team relationships through transactional analysis.

Non-violent Communication (NVC)

Sometimes, communication with others can be an irreparable source of conflict: misunderstanding, fatigue, professional and relational difficulties, feelings of aggressiveness, anger, etc.

I propose the NVC technique to people who wish to establish a harmonious and constructive relationship with their personal or professional environment, to couples who no longer understand each other, to people working in teams, whatever their field of activity and where good communication is the key to success and achievement.

Non-violent communication is not a therapy per se, but rather a tool that allows us to work on empathy, respect, relationship with ourselves and with others, benevolence, objectivity and the channelling of our emotions and feelings.

As a psychologist in Barcelona, I work as a NVC in individual coaching or collective training at the firm located in Barcelona, in companies and in local authorities.

Clean language

In addition to NLP, I sometimes use the Clean Language method.

This technique, created in the early 1980s by David Grove, has proven its worth in the field of coaching and psychotherapy.

This technique is very useful, particularly for treating certain traumas.

It is based on the practitioner’s questioning of his patient, while using only the language specific to the suffering person and in particular his metaphors. No words not used in the patient’s vocabulary are spoken, no influence of the coach or therapist affects the patient’s perception. Hence the expression “Clean Language”.

New Creative Journaling

Among the tools used in my sessions, workshops or coaching, the New Creative Journaling is appreciated by as many of my patients as possible.

This method is a wonderful entry point to the deep self and our imagination.

You don’t need to be an artist to dare to get into the New Creative Journaling. Anything is allowed:

  • The writing
  • The gluing
  • The drawing
  • The painting
  • The game

Founded on the basis of art therapy, the New Creative Journaling not only aims to discover or develop its creative side, but to allow everyone to overcome their problems whether they are in the form of emotions, feelings, or linked to one or more other people.

 

The New Creative Journaling is a “diary” that can be updated at the patient’s discretion. This is therefore a therapy that evolves over time and in healing and that the patient can continue independently with a range of exercises that are easy to perform.

My work as an English speaking psychologist in Barcelona has led me to regularly use the New Creative Journaling to support people in maternity, bereavement, illness, etc.

Brief therapy

As its name suggests, Brief Therapy generally requires few sessions. However, the patient will still need to receive the number of sessions that will be necessary.

In general, people who wish to treat a targeted problem consult a psychotherapist to solve a problem such as:

  • The phobia
  • Mourning
  • Divorce
  • A choice (family, love, career)
  • A difficult passage
  • trauma

Most of the time, the patient knows why he is not well, so it is necessary to find a quick way to get better. Indeed, when we are confronted with a problem, our reflex is to bypass it by adopting an attitude or action that will prevent us from recovering from the difficult situation.

For example, a person who is afraid to board a plane will avoid travelling by this means as much as possible.

I use several short therapy techniques, my choice being defined after our interview with the patient.

Vittoz Therapy

Nowadays, symptoms of depression, fatigue and malaise are recurrent. Life is running at 100 km/h, we have more and more obligations, temptations are great, and we quickly find ourselves overwhelmed by events.

When I am contacted to talk about attention disorders, lack of concentration, memory loss, I frequently offer therapy based on the Vittoz Therapy. This therapy is aimed at the conscious and aims to give the patient the means to heal himself.

More generally, we speak of “living in the present moment” and “living in full consciousness”. This method also teaches us to fully associate ourselves with the situation we experience through our senses, so as to put our minds at rest.
